    I was wondering what I can buy to boost the bacteria and critters etc that live in live sand.

    My LFS will not sell or give me a cup of his sand as he only has sand in his refugiums and does not want to disturb his fuge.

    Hmmm, if you don't know any reefers in your area, you may be stuck with buying a small bag of live sand. FWIW, if you have a shallow sand bed, you really don't need all the critters and the bacteria will grow fairly quickly once established.
