    Hey guys, need some help.

I will be going LED's instead of Odyssea 4x24 (2xIcecap (UVL)+ATI aquablue+420 actinics) on my 28g cube. I have approx 5 digi/acro frags that doing great even under crappy T5HO but I'd like to switch to PAR30/38 bulbs.

Rapid and Boost is located in Cali so I have to pay sales tax anyway, shipping is pretty much the same. Rapid Par30 is $75 and boost Par 30 is $70.

Pros about Boost: really good CS and cool website, CJ review is worth more than any add!
Cons: 3w leds driven at 2w, glare.

    Pros to Rapid:
bad ass black heat sink without a glare, Cree Leds driven at proper wattege. ( I don't mind 30000hrs instead of 50000 hrs)

Cons: out of stock, not much info on the website, don't have a bad ass 3 reef member reviewed.

So I'm leaning towards rapid, cuz of its just $5 more, but leds driven at 3w and we all know how good is Cree leds. I'd like to a get best bang for my buck.

    any opinions?

I went with the nanocustoms Par38 led , a bit more expensive but the bulb is driven alittle harder so it has more output. I"m EXTREMELY pleased with it. i got the 20k and the color is fantastic.

I heard a lot about Devi's bulb, but never get to see a tank under thees bad boys. I think they charge around $100 for Par30, kind of steep for me.. :(

i paid exactly $101 shipping included but i paid for 3 day shipping. The bulb goes for 88$

its REALLY strong, i have it hanging really high up because in my excitement when i first got it last week i placed it too low and my nuclear green zoos were getting BURNED. it was crazy i was like WOW (kinda impressed by how strong the light its not gonna lie :p) so i placed it higher in the last few days, all is well the sps is still happy. Honestly can't say enough good things about it, the light temp is perfect and u get soo much shimmer :)

Dont get me wrong i bet the other bulbs are great, but i really liked the peace of mind that this bulb is driven alittle harder so i can really keep anything and never worry. There are sooo many pictures of these on nanoreef i'd post pics ofmine but i have a crappy camera and am having issues with the whtie balance on it. Lets just say i'm an extremely hard person to please and this really didn't let me down. i mean i can post pics for u if u really want but the color is way off because like i said my camera sucks. but if you check nanoreef these things are REALLY popular on that forum and there are tons of picos and nanos and people have taken great pics of theirs .

My understanding is that the royal blue LED's throw off alot of cameras, atleast thats what i've read.

Oh and i dont think they make par30's, just par38's
