I'm bored. I'm with another diver and we are dropping off our gear and we've been waiting for an hr and a half and have yet to make it in to security to check our gear. Working here is always a pain. I do understand all the necessary precautions they take but it is an all day evolution to drop off equipment and set up a dive station.

We are going to be inspecting an intake and pressure wash a couple of their saltwater pumps.

I'm just bored and wanted to share my boredom.

Finally, truck searched. Now getting ready to go through the metal detectors and the bomb sniffers. This should take another 30 min. At least I get paid by the hr for this. Lol

Geez, had me wondering by the thread title. But then I seen you don't actually operate a reactor. Ha

Yes, this plant is saltwater cooled.

Your right. Better safe than sorry. 100%. They're pretty safe here. It takes 5 guys and an electrician to plug in an electrical cord. Lol. They're beyond safe.

Unfortunately I don't get to get wet today. Tomorrow I will. Maybe some pics as well.

Do you think the hook is big enough for the umbilical?

This fascinates me. I love Nuclear power. I wish there wasn't such a sigma against it. I mean shoot, Fukushima was a 60 year old facility that was improperly handling its fuel rods, and they would have been fine if not hit by a MASSIVE earthquake AND a MASSIVE tsunami.
