I had originally had 75 pounds of live rock in my 72 gallon. Most of it was little 4 to 7 inch pieces so although it didn't take up alot of space.

I ordered some base fiji rock and stacked all my current live rock on the left side of the tank to make room. The whole 75 pounds took up half the tank. So I bought 50 pounds of base thinking it would take up less space.

Wrong!!! I managed to make a wall of rock with a bunch of caves crevices etc. It looks awesome, but I had to leave a couple pieces of my live rock on the bottom near the sides of the tank to fit.

The rock I bought was huge awesome shapes pores, etc. I couldn't even fit it all in my tank. I have about 10 pounds 2 big pieces sitting in a box.

If anyone lives in the Kissimmee area I would greatly trade my left over base and the extra live rock i didn't make part of the wall for a frag of coral.

I had a bunch of flatter, "shelving" rock left from my aquascaping project. Smashed 'em with a hammer and now have perfect pieces for fragging on to ;)
Just a thought if you also frag

......or break it up a bit and do a 10g nano. That's what prompted me to do mine. Extra rock with no place to go. You owe it to the rock. A good home. With fish and coral to keep it company. It is your duty. And a really good excuse.

I wish I had a sump to put it into. I run a canister cause it has more surface area to filter. And with florida being hurricane central I couldn't afford to have the lights go out and my sump over flow all over my living room.
