Brain Coral Growth

Hi Reefers,

A new question from Egypt
i have the attached Brain pic and it is so small but doing well. how it grows although it is on a small rock? does he build the calcium structure and expand on it or it must be on a large rock on which it expands?

It builds up new skeleton and the tissue to grow. Brain corals are very often found in the sandbed and do not need to be perched on a rock. I hope that helps a little.

Just make sure to dose cal and mag or atleast fortified salt mix
