    Hi guys :cheesy:
I recently bought a brain coral and it was blown up perfectly when i put it in my tank. I left it on the sand for awhile and some fish started to snap at it. I don't know what kind of fish it is, but here it is. Also my emerald crabs were on it too.

Well anyways, the brain now is all skeleton'd up I think? Is there anything I can do to restore this? I spent 40 dollars on this and only saw it open for a few hours... I put it on the rocks so that fish won't get it... My tank is ~120gal.

Is there anything you would recommend? I put the brain on top of the rock and it doesn't seem to snap at it anymore...Is my brain still functioning? What would I have to do different in order to keep this thing alive and away from that monster?

I agree - although I love butterfly fish, I love my corals more! It would be in your brain's best interest to find another home for the butterfly.

The good news is that you can still see the mouth and flesh, it's just withdrawn. It's not bothering it anymore most likely because it's withdrawn. As soon as it opens back up, if it does, it will probably go after it again. You should have done a little more research before adding the coral or buying the fish. You could see if a lfs will buy the fish from you or even just take it. Hope it works out for you.

the brain should do fine now. I had a fish decide and eat my brain and it looked horrible for a couple days. Once the fish was removed it puffed up again. Try giving it a small piece of krill in a couple days. If its feeders dont come out right away get a turkey baster or mysis shrimp and GENTLY squirt in the area of the brain. Then it will learn and will eventually take krill. I give mine krill at night a couple times a week.

It looks like there is 2 mouths at least...try to get both mouths
