    i found a small brain coral growing on the back side of one of my large rocks its red but i was wondering if i could scrap it off there and place it on a smaller rock so i could place it in the front so everyone could see it grow.

    yeah, should be fine, thats how they are collected in the wild.

    I'd rather use a dremel tool and try to get some of the rock with the base :)
