I've had a green branching frogspawn for over a year now and recently about 3 month or so ago it stopped coming out. I have several other branching frogspawns around my tank that are doing just fine. (75 g) I have tried moving the green frogspawn to different locations maybe thinking it was the flow that was the problem and that didn't help. I have placed it relatively close to one of my orange hammers and brown branching frogspawn to see if it would come out like they do and still nothing. All parameters are fine, salinity is fine so I'm not sure what the issue could be because all the other corals are growing fine. I recently just lost a white branching frogspawn that was behaving the same way, just worried I'm going to lose this one as well. Any advice.

Have your nitrates gone down? When I added a skimmer it brought my nitrates down, which ticked off my torch. Maybe your tank is too clean.

nothing about 'white branching frogspawn' sounds right to me. What parameters do you test?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Change bulbs lately?
Have clown fish residing in them?
Looked at night with a flash light for critters?
Dosing anything and how are your alk levels?

No clown fish has left it alone, ill look at night for critters though see if anything might be bugging it, and my alk is at about 2.1 (RedSea test kit) and im dosing a two part Kent Marine Tech CB, DT phyto every other day, fuel by aquavitro twice a week, mag once a week. I don't get what im doing wrong because all the other frog spawns are opened up throughout the day =\

Do you have a low turbulant flow? Or a low flow that is pushing the polyps/tenticles off in one direction only?
I have heard of spawns dropping heads and dying off if sitting a one directly flow for too long. A turbulant flow is what they really enjoy and seem happiest. You can get that flow from two seperate power heads or other water flows colliding one one spot to create a type of flow that pushed the polyps/tenticles in one direction, then another, then another and it will shoot out a flow of a mixture of low and moderate at the spawn. hard to explain unless you know what I'm talking about lol I use to have one direction low flow and my spawn seemed to be fine for a while then started closing up. I turned the nozzle of my canister at the flow of my powerhead and with a lot of patience and tweeking was able to get a low turbulant flow and the spawn perked right up opening wide and started plitting like crazy! If you already have a turbulant flow then I really don't know what it could be other than a possible pest. I don't think it would be any of the parameter levels because all of the other spawns in your tank seem happy as you mentioned. But it could possibly be a level. Any kenya trees in the tank close by that spawn? I ave a kenya close to one of my sps and once I got rid of it the sps went right back to normal.
