This is the longest they have been on and they don't seem to be getting hot. Strange that they have only done it with the stock actinics in.

The ATI's weren't going completely out, they were dimming to color similar to that of moon lights. What could be causing the short? It ran 4 bulbs (stock 10,000k and actinics ) for a month with no problem.

mabey pulled a wire loose on the end caps by pulling off to change bulbs?Without putting the old bulbs back in and seeing if there is an issue,it's gonna be a tough call.

I'll turn the actinics back on and see if the ATI's go out again. If they do, I'll put the 10,000Ks back in and see what happens.

So far, so good. Actinics and ATI bulbs have been running fine since my post.

Spoke too soon. I'll put the 10,000k in when it cools off.

The stock 10,000Ks appear to be running fine with the stock actinic.

I still think it's a Ballast issue... for some reason the ballast is able to run the stock bulbs but not the ATI bulbs. Not all bulbs are bult the same, so for some reason the ballast is being affected by the ATI's and not the Stock bulbs. Just because the fixture is only a month old daoesn't mean it will work 100% as long as it's suppose to. There have been many times where I bought something brand new and it bit the dust a month or so later (my first Xbox with the red ring of death for example). Try calling costumer support for the type of fixture you have to see if there is a common problem that will cause this with that fixture. If nothing, then try calling ATI costomer service to see if they can think of anything. This is what I did when my fixture wouldn't turn on 2 of the bulbs, and support pointed me in the right track with it being a connection issue. Just give them a shot... you never know... they may be able to fix the problem and maybe even be nice enough to replace the ballast for you. Never know until you try :)
