I have some stuff on the inside of my DT. There are 2 spots where the previous owner had 2 pieces of glass siliconed in it to separate the tank into 3 sections. I used a razor to cut the silicone off to remove the glass and to scrape off the remaining silicone, but I have the lines that run top to bottom where the silicone was. It's ugly and very noticeable. Any suggestions on how to remove it? I attached a pic so you can see what I'm talking about.

I also posted this question as it's own thread.

I am finishing the final touches before mixing and adding saltwater. Can I go ahead and get a QT going with 2 O Clowns in it so that they will be through QT'ing shortly after the cycle?

I'm probably gonna be working a lot of overtime over the next few weeks, so I won't be able to get to the LFS for epoxy. So, aside from reef epoxy, is there anything else that I can "glue" my rocks together with? Will silicone work, or anything else along those lines?

Update! JB Water Weld worked like a charm. The 2 rocks are firmly together. Tonight, after church, WE 'SCAPE!

After a few salt orders being cancelled due to being out of stock, I finally have some salt to mix up. Thanx to a local PetSmart for having some available. I'll be using Instant Ocean salt mix. I got enough for 100g. Also, I picked up 46lbs of rock yesterday. So, this week that will be going in along with sand, water, and salt. Then, we cycle. Does any body have any suggestions on how to keep powerheads on the glass. The suction cups on mine lose their grip after a few hours. Granted there hasn't been any water in the tank. So maybe they'll hold better once there is? Anyway, if you have any suggestions, shoot them my way. Thanx.

Yes, water in the tank helps.

Question about the sand: Should I rinse it, or just throw it in as it? It CaribSea Araganite sand. The Aragamax Select and Aragamax ?Reef Grade? I think. Also, when I put it in should I fill in the ares between rocks? I know I shouldn't pour it over the rocks, but should I at least fill in the open spaces and crevices between them?

Wash it. Put it 10 pounds at a time in a bucket and wash it until no longer milky. Yes, fill the spaces.
