i know i should ve never bought it but i did....:( anyway i've been reading about the seaclone people been saying that the microbubbles will go away eventually after break in. now question is during the break in process do i leave the air open or close and about how long it will take for the pos to break in. Thanks guys

Once broken in they aren't too bad, except for the microbubbles. Leave it set to where there is no air stuck in the U-tube. I ran mine really tight, theoritacally smaller bubbles like that, and wasn't too disapointed, except for the microbubbles. Also removing the pre-filter sponge helped a lot for me, once the sponge collects anything it changes the rate of flow, so you have to adjust the nozzle, and that lead to microbubbles (did I mention the microbubbles? :) )

Mine worked okay with a 3/4 turn from the closed position. All in all it was not a bad skimmer, but its not really good either. It always produced skimmate, but my new coralife skimmer produces 4-5x the volume of similar density skimmate.

well i get it to produce skimmate but the microbubbles is just too much, i 've built a bubble trap it helps but theres still bubbles :(. mine dont have and prefilter i got mine used for really cheap and the pump that came with is is not the maxi jet i was replaced with a rio pump that match the output of the original one.
it has been three or more weeks since i move everything in the new tank if and water conditioner are there im sure its all disolve by now.
