Just got done moving. Everyone survived!

So I finally completed my stand today. Some of you may have come across my tank stand build thread.

When I started building the stand, I wasn't sure if I wanted a 75g or a 90g, but considering the base of the tanks are the same, I figured I'd decide later.

After much deliberation, I've decided on a 90G.

At this point, I have my compete stand, and a starting portion of base rock.

I will be ordering the tank on the 4th of march (when I get paid next ;D), and plan on ordering at least 50lbs more rock from John at reefcleaners.

I have a running 29g tank right now, that has a very healthy mated pair of clowns, a blue damsel, and a pajama cardinal. The tank has been up for a little over a year... giving me algae problems, and I'm bored of how tiny it is. Once I've switched my livestock over to the new tank, I'll turn the 29 into a sump.

    I'm so excited!

    New glass!!! :)

    Got my new glass today!!

    (new to me, at least)

I had been wanting to order a new tank, but 400 bucks was the cheapest quote I had, for a corner overflow 90G.

Today I scooped this baby up on CL. 90G corner overflow AGA tank, with a date sticker from 2009. Black silicone. No scratches at all! The tank was used as a frag tank. Included was a wet / dry and a 190GPH return pump! I got it all for 200 bucks, and it's EXACTLY what I wanted. Delayed gratification is a wonderful thing. Now I can put all that money I've saved towards lighting. :)

I'm never had a tank with an overflow before, so I'm going to need some help with the plumbing.

Anyway, here are some pictures. I have to do some work on the wall in my room before I set the tank up. Hopefully it'll be in place by tomorrow.

I promise loads of pictures for this thread.;D

    Thanks! I'm pretty excited.

I love the way the stand worked out too. It started simple and was supposed to be cheaper than buying a stand, but it didn't work out that way. lol

    Thanks!

So I was almost done with getting the tank into the house, when I got a horrible phone call. Grandma passed away. Horrible news. I live in Florida, and she's still back in Cape Town, South Africa, where I came from. It put a hold on anything tank wise.

I have 4 days off, so I'm going to be busy finishing my wall in my room, and getting the tank set up. Doing some plumbing.

I have a question though. I'm trying to get an equipment list going.

MY water quality at the house is awful. I live on well water in Florida. It's very hard, even after it comes through our softener.

Would this RO/DI system work well enough?

So obviuosly, you were planning on a sump/refuge setup of some sort. Are you planning on using that wet/dry? or doing something different?
