    Thanks man!

I get my paycheck on Friday. If it's good enough, I'll order my light fixture.

    I've decided on this:

Sunlight Supply Tek Light High Output Fluorescent Lighting Fixtures

I'm pretty confident that should be good enough for what I intend to put in the tank.

I just can't wait to transfer my clowns from my 29. It's going to be a HUGE change for them. Soo much more space!

Thanks man. It has taken a long time to get it up and running... and obviously, cost way more so far than I planned, but I know it's going to be worth it.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure exactly what I want to put in the tank. I'm not big on overstocking at all. Having had a 29 gallon, I have been so limited on what to stock with, I haven't even given livestock much thought.

I'm not going to rush it. As of now, I have my pair of mated clowns, that are still very young. I've had them for a year, and they're looking very healthy. I also have a yellow / blue damsel, and a pajama cardinal that I'm not very found of, but he has some sentimental value, so I'll hold on to him.

Once the tank has cycled, I'll order a CUC from John, and transfer these 4 fish over. After a couple weeks, I'd like to get 3 or 4 chromis (I love fish that stay together). Once I get going I'd like to get a Tang of some sort. I also love the idea of a Watchman Goby.

Coral wise, I've never had anything. I literally have ZERO experience, so I'm going to start out with what I think sound like the easiest to keep; Frogspawn, some Zoas? I still need to do a lot of research on softies, but I know it's going to be quite some time before my water is ready for them.

I'll be asking for some advice on stocking and prowling build threads for some ideas!

Stay posted and I'll let you know what I think of the Tek Light... I've done some research and even watched a couple reviews on youtube. It sounds like a quality fixture.

Do you already have the 75??

Looking good so far brew! I think I have to agree with you on the aquascape.. It looks good but not great.. Personally, I think I would stack some of those big rocks together in the center, then add the smaller rocks where need be and do something cool with the branching coral looking rock.. Like have it sticking out of your formation on one side, or leaned up against the side. I think try and great some good little nooks and crannies your livestock can hide in, but also have a good amount of swimming space.. But with the tank your size and that amount of rock I think you'll have plenty of swimming space.. I had the same dilemma with my tank. I moved my scape around a few times when I first set it up, and just recently I added one more good size rock and its finally how I want it lol.

What lights/bulbs are you considering going with?

You sound like you're gonna be just fine. I only have 1 coral for now, in my 20, some polys. they were my 1st coral too. They havnt died yet so i must be doin summin right! lol they've actually grown witch is great! Unfortunately no i have the tank and stand sitting in my living room, but im going as fast as my bank will lemme if you know what i mean lol. I agree the tek fixture, from what Ive read and seen, seems like a very solid light. You'll have a bangin system in no time brew!

that damsel will probably destroy any new fish besides the tang ... if your not found of them trade 'em for the chromis or the tang or goby is what i think you should do for stocking fish but corals leather, zoas, palys, mushrooms, frogspawn, hammer, lobed brain,closed\open brain, star polyps, ricordia, etc are all quite easy to keep ...:)

Yeah... it is OK, but not perfect. I'll spend some more time on it tomorrow. Thanks for the Ideas! I couldn't decide if I wanted to use that fossilized coral or not, but I think it's growing on me. I still have quite a bit of rock that i haven't used... so I'll try figure out how to change things without making it look too cluttered! Do you have any shots of you tank online? I'd like to see it man. Get some ideas!

I know exactly what you mean man! I just tore my rotator cuff and broke my clavicle, so all my money has been going to MRI's and doctors visits!

Thanks for the heads-up. The Damsel is so tiny, but man, is he aggressive! I forgot about that. He has calmed down recently, but I guess he's just on good terms with the current livestock. I'll trade him in for sure.

Thanks for the list of corals. I'll do some research on each one of them. I can't wait to get this going!

Oh, and bulb wise... at this point I'm thinking about going with an assortment of Giesemann bulbs; 1 "Deep Ocean", 2 "Aquablue", 2 "Mid-day", and 1 "Pure Actinic", as per this chart:

Giesemann Powerchrome T5 High Output Fluorescent Lamps Information

I feel like that'd give me a good blend of lighting. I do like a bluer look to my light.

Any suggestions? I've only ever used CF.

Yah definitely keep the that fossilized coral. I'm about to buy a branch kinda like that here pretty soon actually.. I think they look sweet when they're covered in zoa's. But yah dude I have a tank journal deal.. The of the thread is Alec's 40 gallon breeder chronicles. Check it out!
