Am I supposed to be putting the whole cube in the tank to feed the fish?

I have been putting the cube in a ziploc bag with some tank water to thaw it. I then pour in about a quarter of the cube in the tank(thawed though). Am I doing it wrong?

Well.....the amount you put in depends on how many inhabitants you have that will eat it. I like to cut the cube while it's frozen either in half or in four pieces and use some tank water to thaw it in a cup. You can even just put the frozen piece in the water and it will thaw;D

There really is no wrong way, you do what works for you. I usually put two cubes in a small cup with add some tank water to thaw it out. I get a kids dropper and suck up some food and feed the fish. Thats also the way I feed my Sun Coral. I dont float the cubes b/c that would mean that some of the timid fish wouldnt eat. I swear that I have sharks instead of fish.....lol Luna

I do the same as luna except that i let it thaw without water, then get a paper towel to soak up any nutrient filled water, and add garlic extreme to the semi drid food, then mix it with tank water and add it. But there is no real wrong way to do this

I have a little plastic bowl that i fill up with a little tank water, put the frozen food in, let it thaw, mix it up, then pour in little amounts at a time.
My fish actually get excited whenever they see us grab the bowl!;D

I use the same little bowels, if I am feeding mysis which I usually am I take the time to rinse them off a little because if I don't that an awful lot of Little pieces of crap that are not going to get eaten and could cause me some trouble. Unless I am using P&E Mysis which are fortified with vitamins than I dont rinse but take care to not get any of the Juicy stuff in the tank.

I put a piece in a fine net and run some tap water on it. I then scoop some from the net with a plastic spoon and feed.

My fish get excited if I even look at the tank let alone walk in front with something in my hands.

Ok, so I put a paper towel on top of a paper plate and let the cube defrost. The towel sucked up a bunch of liquid leaving the shrimp basically dry still in a cube. Put the cube in a ziploc with tank water and fed the fish. I'm going to start doing this all the time.

Brine shrimp is totally worthless and a food source it has no nutritional values what so ever its like pizza to a kid or many adults I know its will fill you up and taste good and is a O.K sometimes treat but you get nothing from it but full :) I would never just thaw and dump any froze meat in to a tank I would get myself a good brine shrimp net and always thaw it then pour several glasses of good R/O water over the meat to rinse the phosphates from the juice of the thawed stuff its a cesspool of excess PO4s. test it sometime .. I'd simple get all my tanks weaned to a good balanced flake diet all of my fish eat flakes 99% of the time..
