Hi, my husband allowed me to temporarily hack his account... Only because I have qustions he cannot answer. :). I want to hatch and enrich brine shrimp. If you do a search on this topic so much information can be found that it's overwhelming. I am trying to set up a relatively inexpensive way to always have enriched BBS on hand. Does anyone have a system that works for them, that doesn't consume hours of their day? I would really appreciate pictures and detailed (read: idiot proof) step by step instructions that you don't mind if I copy.

In my head I feel like having 3 *containers* set up is the best way to go? the 1st for hatching, the 2nd for maturing and the 3rd for enriching? I tend to over-complicate things and I am having a hard time wrapping my head around where/how to start and then what, you know?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

You haven't said if you are wanting nauplii (young brine) or juveniles or adults, or, what you are feeding them to.
Hatching is easy to do in inverted pop bottles with the bottoms cut out and a piece of rigid air line tubing sitting in the bottles. These bottles can be used as growout for smaller quantities and for enrichment of brine of any size.
As the newly hatched nauplii don't have mouths at stage one, you have to grow them out for a day after hatching, before enriching them.
If you want to grow them out to larger sizes, that CAN be problematic depending on the densities of the cultures you need for your application.
It can take a while for some to get the hang of it, to find a way that works for them. It can take a long time to grow to adult size depending on temperature, feeding schedule, type of feed, and cleaning regime.
