I have this 4 inch long worm, as far as I can ID from other posts here its a Bristle worm, now I have an 8gal Nano reef so do I keep the worm or try to fish it out. What are your thoughts of this thing in my small reef tank?

Probably get it out if you can.

Some people say keep them because they do cleanup the tank, but they can also become a big pain as they grow, and if you plan on keeping clams later on then they will try to eat them from the bottom up.

No clams, I think the tank and lighting will not support a healthy clam.

I use a trap that works pretty good but I starting using it because I noticed allot at night.
    they can multiply like crazy.

I don't have a problem with small BWs. Getting bigger, they can cause problems. A four inch specimen I would remove. Do this carefully. They can bite/sting and it will hurt. Bad.

My rule of thumb is, if its easy to get out, grab it. If it is going to cause me trouble to get out, don't bother.

small tank + large worm = bad idea. I have bristle worms and tons of them but if they get that big I usualy take them out.

I'd get it out...just be careful not to touch it with your bare hands...if it is a fire worm variety especially...it hurts like all get out...use a net or something like that. I actually used a bamboo BBQ skewer to get mine out....just stabbed it with it and pulled it out on the end of the stick. worked well for me. Figured that trick out after one nailed me the first time.

I'd get it out that's a big worm for such a small tank, and I don't like BW's to begin with. Anything with the possibility of stinging me like they do I get rid of.
