bristle worms ?

    i seemed to have p/u a bunch of brislte worms in my rock.. they are ganging up on one of my snails what can i do about them or are they good ? (my snail could be dead hasnt moved in a while)

    They are good scavengers. If the snail hasn't moved and then they are just doing their job of cleaning up the death! Don't worry about them.

    There are certain bristleworms that do eat snails. Can you tell if there is a mucous blob around the snail? You will be able to see it in the water and if you pick up the shell (with tongs or something!) it will be covered in sort of a jellyish type substance.

    If there is no mucous blob I wouldn't worry about it. Bristleworms are good cleaners.

    Agreed! They are, in moderation, great scavengers. They're always welcome in my systems.

    i moved the snail to see if he was alive and like 10 worms with all there little legs scampered back into the gravel glad to hear that they are good critters
