many people vary their opinions here.

Personally, I feel the flatworms (Polychetes) are a beneficial addition to a CUC. They do a wonderful job of getting into cracks and holes in liverock that no snails or hermits can fit. Also, they are generally shy of bright light so you usually do not see too many of them.

They tend to be self-limiting with their tank population. They only reproduce to a point that the tank has enough nutrients for. So for people who way they are "infested" or "overrun" by brislteworms - generally indicates an unhealthy system with too many waste nutes present.

Just be sure to not intentionally grab them. I got hit with one once - not fun.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Just took this picture an hour ago, at feeding time. This guy has been in my tank for 3 years. He can get in all the hard to reach spots. Good part of a CUC.

People used to freak out when they saw bristle worms in the tank. They can be beneficial. They eat detrius and bore holes through the rock thus creating more water flow through the rock.8) Some species can become enormous.
