    Calcium = 600 ppm
    Nitrite = .2ppm
    Ammonia = .15ppm
    Nitrate = 30ppm +/- 5
    pH = 8.2
    Salinity = 24
    Alkinity = 2.5ppm
    Alkinity = 2.5
    hope someone can help. Any suggestions on how to lower the calcium?

    OK, before we go any further.....I had a few suggestions about how to lower your Ca.....but I need to know more. You are in the middle of a cycle. I need you to take a little time and fill something out for us. It is a little long and drawn out, but necessary for us to make a good determination of what exactly is going on. I got this out of the ASAP section.

    In addition, I need to know what kind of test kits you have. Brand name. Liquid or strips. Expiration dates.

    dKH/KH/Alkalinity:
    Magnesium:
    Calcium:
    Phosphate:

    Tank size?
    Estimated total system?

    Current inhabitants? What and how many?
    Clean up crew?

    How long has your tank been set-up?

    Substrate.
    Type?
    Depth?

    Live rock?
    How much?
    Did you recently add some?

    Filtration.
    Type?
    Protein skimmer?
    Do you wet or dry skim?
    Maintenance schedule for filtration?
    Drilled tank/hang on back overflow?
    Sump/refugium. What's in it and how much?
    Macro? What kind?

    Lighting.
    Lighting type?
    Age of bulbs?

    Feeding
    What?
    How much?
    How often?

    Water change schedule.
    How much?
    How often?
    What salt brand?
    Water source?

    Additives/supplements used?

    Do you have a ground probe?
    What kind of flow does your tank have?

    Any additional info you would like to share.... Including anything different that you have done/not done.

    I dont think high calcium is important here. I think the fact that Ammonia is present is causing the problems.
