    Hey guys and gals,
I purchased a new sps and found what looks like a brittle star. I apologize in advance about the photo. I got the star off the coral thinking it would harm it, I threw it in my fuge for now.. Harmfull to coral? and would red slime algae hurt this star?
    TIA

    Jordan,

It's probably a mini-brittlestar. That's all the bigger they get. Just watch it in your fuge and if it stays that size, move it back. They are great detritus eaters. No cyano won't hurt it.

I bought one 5 months ago and love to see it when it comes out. They are really fast. Then 3 days ago I bought a nice bunch of mushrooms and there was a mini brittle on it that I noticed later that night. I love free-bees
