Brittle Starfish Spawning

Ewwww........That's grose!!! I think there's laws against taping that sort of thing!!! lol ...... Kidding of course, that's really cool to catch on video.

 

It lasted about 45 min. My tank is very cloudy now. All the starfish went back to hiding. I was wondering if another water change should occur?

 

Mine have done the same thing I did not do a water change.

Thanks Corailline. Did the population of starfish increase after this happened to you? I can't find a whole lot of info on this subject. Any insight would be appreciated.

 

do you plan on keeping them in the tank or are you going to take them out??

 

Not really sure. I suppose I'll let it run it's course and see what happens. If it becomes a issue ill address accordingly.

 

The crazy thing is the video didn't do justice. They were everywhere. All over the walls, rocks, corals, ect. After about 45 minutes they all retreated to the rocks. My tank remained very cloudy the rest of the night. It seemed okay this morning.
