It will be fine just glue the broke piece to another rock and you'll soon have two :)

Super glue Gel works. I get mine at the Dollar store. if you just let it lay on teh rocks, it will also encrust there. I ahve several frags that I stuck in a hole that have encusted and grown up nicely.

this is one of hte ways corals propogate in the wild is from broken pieces that get displaced.

Received a piece of birdsnest today. It arrived broken in half. I used a drop of super glue to join the two pieces together. It looks fine, but after reading this, I wonder if I should have set the upper half as a second frag. Do you see any problem with gluing the two pieces back to normal?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I doubt it will heal together, you will probably end up with exposed skeleton at the point contact between the 2 pieces.

A better deal would have been to have to separate frags.

Oh well only time will tell.

Thanks for responding. I too am not sure if it will heal over or push off the upper piece. As you say, time will tell. Worst thing, I'll have to refrag the upper section.

BTW thanks for moving this. I was replying to the original thread and did not realize it was in the ASAP section.
