Brown alage or diatoms

    Hi i finished my cycle 1 month ago and there is still brown alage growing everywhere i know i can get a rodi unit but is there any other way that i could get rid of them

    Without proper water, chances are you're going to be battling 1 algae or another and cyano during the life of your tank.

    What are you using now?

    you can siphon them but if you continue to use tap water which has nitrate and phosphate, you'll be continually feeding the algae and diatoms

    +!, just gonna be an ongoing battle if you use that. I'd really consider a RODI.
