Brown Algae on Top of Sand

    Tank is 10 months old, 110gal, live rock, corals etc... I have Brown Algae forming on top of the sand in several areas. I use RO Water and Reef Crystals to make water. Any Ideas on what this is and how to control it?

    I had brown algae and to get rid of it I reduced the time the lights were on in the tank and put "chemi-pure" in my Fluval filter.
