My tank is 4 months old now and I'm still having a problem with brown algae. My nitrate-0, nitrite-0, phosphate-0 Calcium-440, pH-8.2 dKH-9.2. It's growing on my sand, some of my live rock and almost all the plastic(power heads, overflow ect...) also the only Caroline algea I see growing is on the plastic as well?

Any help on this brown algae, I was told before it would go away but that's been almost 2 months now :(

Yes, it gets long and stringy and produces bubbles.

A pic would really help, but it does sound like diatoms to me. Did you add anything new to your tank recently and are you using RO/DI water?
