I noticed this brown body thing with green tips inside our white bubble coral. It stood out quite a bit inside the white bubbles. I sucked it up using a turkey baster and placed it in a bowl for the picture. It's rather small so I tried to take the best pic I could. It has the same color scheme as our frogspawn on the other side of the tank but I don't think that's what it is.

I bet it's a frogspawn tip. They do drop them. It's a form of reproduction called budding.

I was afraid of that...I was hoping it would be something common that happens to bubble corals or something like that. I will try to snap a better picture of it.

    How about any of these?

After taking more pics of it, I thought I saw a tentacle coming off of it. This could be my imagination though. It's roughly 1cm in size if I had to guess.

Okay if it is a frogspawn tip could it have stung my bubble coral? I did notice a small tentacle coming off of it when I was taking pictures of it. I noticed it later in the day when my bubble was already calling it a night so I couldn't tell if any harm has been done yet.

I don't think it would have stung your bubble coral. Maybe the other way around. I could be mistaken but bubbles pack a more potent sting than Euph's and are more aggressive.

When we first got into the hobby (about 6 months ago) we went to the LFS and saw a huge bubble coral and I thought it looked amazing. Ever since then I've loved them, they are just great looking corals.

Yeah I can see that for sure. We placed a torch about 8" away from our bubble coral only to find out that the bubble killed it =/. It's quite impressive how long its sweeper tentacles are and how quickly it can kill another coral.
