I ended up just taking a shot glass placing some sand in the bottom of it and putting the bud in there. I'm not expecting much from it but we shall see. It would be cool to watch it grow up but the odds are against it I'm sure.

Cool! Good luck with that. I've tried a couple times with no success so it would be awesome see someone do it. The only bud I've ever had live was..o wait we're talking about corals.;D

So this morning as the bubble is starting to open, about 1/3 of it (the side I found this bud on) is all shriveled up and isn't looking too good... I'm amazed by this since it would make sense for the bubble to pack more of a punch than this little thing, but is it possible the bubble tried to eat the bud and some sort of toxin was released into it? Any chance of saving this section of the bubble or anything I need to do so it doesn't spread and kill off the rest of it?

So glad I put the frogspawn and bubble on the complete opposite sides of a 6 ft tank so that something like this wouldn't happen ::)

just keep an eye on it...I don't think its an issue...corals will protect/defend themselves using all manner of techniques..is it just deflated?..if so, it should "fill" up in due time... I would not rush to the conclusion of anything being wrong.;)
    pictures would be great !
