    I don't remember the exact amount. I calculated it based on the instructions, then divided by 4 for the first treatment.... it was only like a teaspoon or so, then I upped it after I watched the reaction in the tank.

    After reading the last article, it would prbably be better with the UV sterilizer. Might be safer since you have so many corals. Like I said, I didn't have many corals and they were fairly cheap, so I didn'thave that much to lose.

    But I think if you look around, you will find some people use peroxide, but whatever you do, do it in moderation.

    I have seen so many people (including myself) constantly posting about not being able to get rid of a hair algae problem and the answer on here is to tear down the tank, or remove the nitrates and phosphates when they aren't there.

    (oh, your post says you have some phospates, so get a phosphate sponge or something similar to reduce this also or along the way) They sell this in a filter type media or use poly filters to remove the phosphates. Poly filters work amazingly well if you haven't tried them before.
