Was looking at my tank at an odd angle the other day and noticed a batch of these guys growing on the back of one of the rocks. It was only visible through a crack in the rock work. So I pulled it out to get a better look.

I just want to make sure this isn't something I need to be worried about! I'm still a bit paranoid being new to the hobby, haha. And I'm not that great at comparing things from pictures to the real thing. Pretty much the only thing I'm sure about it Aiptasia!

Thanks all for your input. Hopefully I'll get up to speed on more common things so I can stop creating new threads on IDing things.

    Defi palys..

You can target feed them once or twice a week for increased growth.

I've read about a few things that people feed their palys. What have people around here found that works best for them?

Just about anything it can fit in it's mouth.

I have been known to feed flake food (Brine Shrimp flakes) to them, and they eat it and grow. Small pieces of table shrimp also work, but they are hard to get the pieces small enough. Mysis shrimp also work.

    +1

When i feed my LPS corals, i normaly have a lil extra mysis, so i just take the rest and give the palys some.

So I fed these guys some mysis today, and they gobbled them up! They had quite the fight on their hands though as the blood & cleaner shrimp wanted their fair share too! Haha... Eventually my cleaner just hopped on my hand and waited his turn.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone!

definitely paly's, you can tell because zoa's make more of a mat, where paly heads are more singled out. either way nice add, mine grab anything that flows by.
