Good morning, while I sit here in jury duty I have plenty of time to be reading these threads. So here's a question, in my refugium that has been running for about 5 months over the past three months I have some red algae/brown algae starting to grow in with my plants, is this ok, not ok, none of this algae is growing in my tank, just in the refugium, thanks for your help.

sounds like diatoms with a mix of cyano. Wouldn't worry about diatoms but cyano is just nasty... try increasing water movement inside your fuge with a powerhead.
