Brown slime coming out of my torch?

I just noticed that my torch looks very unhappy and has a brown slime coming out of it. Any ideas what that is?

 

Most likely waste.

No not bad, it's a fairly common occurrence. Just keep an eye on the coral, as sometimes it's the loss of zooxanthellae.

 

Post a pic. If it's expelling waste no big deal but if there's recession and brown jelly like substance on the coral itself then get it in an iodine dip. Don't panic, just post a pic.

 

My torch expels brown stringy stuff every couple weeks. Usually the day after feeding something meaty like brine shrimp. I assumed it is poop. Looks kind of exhausted during the process. Perks up the next day.

 

It apparently was waste. He looks fine now.

 

Can an alevepora sting a hammer or vice versa? I have them and they are beginning to get too close if that's a potential problem.

 

I've read they both can sting.

 

I'd think the hammer would cause more damage to the alveopora
