have some brownish stuff on my white sand tank is 3 weeks old. Is it true that it is part of the normal cycling process. ammonia and nitrites are 0 and nitrated are between 10 and 20. what should i do? water change maybe? its a 55 g tank with 40lbs live rock everything else looks great

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Most likely diatoms, normal for a tank 3 weeks old. They should disappear as the tank ages and the level of silicates decreases.

Sounds like you have a lack of flow. You need to add a wave maker/ fan/ something to move the water more. Also check your salinity levels/water quality.
