title says most of it but i have a 14 gallon bio cube and brown hair algae is starting to grow all over the rocks.
what should i get in the way of snails, hermits, shrimps, and crabs?

sea hare that eat on algae is a good remover of hair algae. i don't know if they eat brown but i know they likes eating green hair. problem with them is that when the algae is gone they will most likely going to die from starvation unless you can return them or sell it to someone who needs it.

mexican turbo snail and emerald crab will eat on this nuisance algae.

many types of hermits and snails will eat that type of algae. I like to have a variety of inverts in my clean up crew, some species are better at eating certain things than others. If you get a nice assortment of inverts, you'll be fine.
