BRS faucet RODI attachment is spraying and leaking. You can see what type of attachment is in the photo. It is threaded and directly connects to my faucet. However, when I close the valve to send water through the stub into my RO/DI line, the it leaks and sprays when the pressure is increased.

Another thing, this faucet attachment rotates. I think thats why it is leaking. The fact that it can spin around tells me that there is not a good seal.

    What do i do?

cant use it. This isnt the threaded attachment which connects to the faucet. It is the actual faucet attachment. It is leaking in an area which is not removable. Suprisngly also, it spins, almost like its a ball threaded attachment. It cannot be disconnected from the part which it spins. The threaded attachment is above this which connects to the faucet.

Anyone have a similar experience with this product? I am well versed in plumbing and this is not a simple fix with a washer or plumbers tape, it seems to be the actual design of the product.

Just get a new one. These kits are not expensive, and when you think of the trouble leaks cause, and the time it will take you to "fix" it in a trial and error way... just get a new one.

sounds like a bad piece pick up a new one. perhaps you can find one at a plumbers supply store if you're really in need.

mine does not leak and still rotates fine.

Suggestion: Get a faucet adapter KIT, rather than just a faucet adapter.

Because there are next to no standard thread sizes on faucets, you want a faucet adapter that comes with soem extra adapters to help you find one that matches your faucet threads.

i have a faucet adapter kit. Once again, its not the adapter or threaded area of the faucet or attachment that is leaking... It is the actual rotating part of this RODI product itself. Where the aerator rotates, it leaks. Not sure if this is common.

Fatbastad what is your experience with this? Do you have the exact product i am discussing.

Not common. Just a bad fitting.
