I have 40# of dry pukani rock. I'm restarting my 75G tank.

I was wondering. Do I need to rinse the rock or can I just dump all of the rock and let it cycle without rinsing it?!

There is not a single living inside the tank right now.#

Better be safe than sorry I would rinse it just to make sure any dust or other bugs got into it.

It's pretty dirty when you get it, rinse and scrub or it stinks while the organics cook off. It's basically pulled from the water and left drying in the sun.

yep unless u want to create a cycle, you should rinse/cook the rock as it will leech phosphates.
