I am currently using esv two part system of CA and ALK. Too much money for me since my tank drinks it like water.

It looks like BRS is significantly cheaper. BRS users please tell me how long 1gallon of CA and ALK powder will last you. Not sure if 1 ml of BRS is similar to dosing 1ml of ESV.

But Im ready to make the switch if there is a significant price difference in dosing.

Im all ears to experiences with dosing cost.

so far, more or less, 4 months for one gallon of each.

but a significant amount of that was to me figuring it out and raising levels.

I would estimate one gallon to last me 6 months now that I'm dialed in. Mixing a bottle of Alk this weekend actually.

ha ha, gallon of mixed liquid, sorry.

i don't recall, but you can find this information on their site. I *think* one gallon of material makes 8 gallons of mix  ugh, sorry.

i think both products are saturated - so m/l of each would be similar. but i don't know that for a fact either

I was going to start using BRS for everything. I found some redsea reef success (3 bottles for 9 bucks) so im gonna use that up for ca.

The BRS stuff is way cheaper that the BIonic that i have been dosing.

I'm about to run out of alk, so i will be ordering that soon. and mg

One gallon of mixed lasts me 2 or 3 months. I never kept track to be honest with you. It only takes a couple of cups to mix one gallons. I'm expecting the gallon size of BRS to last me about two years. That's only about $1 or $2/month.

I know the BRS ALK is saturated. So the water can't hold anymore. The Ca is just what is needed to make it equal parts. As Predhil said, I assume the Bionic alk is saturated too.

Just so you know, 2 cups of powder make 1 gallon of solution. You know a little about my tank. Mixed for now growing well. Same 90 as yours. I use 45 ml a day. So how ever many days that is in a gallon. The starter kit will make probably 5-6 gallons. Probably says on the site.

I too dosed too heavily for a while trying to figure it out. BRS is a source I trust for quality and their prices are awesome. Love them to death. Just started running their GFO, and when needed, I'll get their RO/DI too.

You can figure out exactly how much you'll be using. Use the calculator and figure out how many dkh and how many ppm calcium you are using each week of ESV and then put those numbers in, it will tell you exactly how much BRS product you need for your water volume and your calcium/alk load.
