    Hello everyone.

I just ordered a two part kit, and two dosing pumps. Cal, Alk, and Mag. My plan is to automate the whole process, dosing daily of calcium and alkalinity.

The question is ... I will be setting up shop under a different tank than the one that I'm dosing, since space is a serious issue under my reef (corner bowfront) limited footprint.

As of now, the space looks like this:

My question is, should the dosing pumps be under the freshwater tank or the reef tank. The jugs of solution will only fit under the freshwater tank, so I'll be running the tubing from fresh to the reef. The pumps have 20 ft of head according to the website

    Thanks

It would be better under the SW tank so you do not have the lines in the open to trip over or damage. But if you can't place them there then your plan should work.

I'll just run the lines side by side along the baseboard, held down with electrical tape, the two tanks share the same wall ... plus there is a small couch in between and no access to trip over the tubes. I can fit the pumps under the reef, there is just no room for 3 massive jugs of solution under there, which is why I need to run the lines between the tanks.
