BRS's GFO media bag size?

    Just got some bulk reef supply GFO and want to know what size/micron filter/media bag do i need to use. the bags I have the holes are to big and the stuff just dusts all over. 25, 50, 100 micron? felt or nylon? its also granules GFO.

    bump because I am not 100% certain

    although I did do a bit of a search and for GFO the micron sizes commonly mentioned are 200 and 300 micron

    I'm pretty sure the bags on BRS are 200 mesh. I used one and there was no fines coming out. You rally need to rinse GFO well. as far as the fines, a 200 should be fine. You do not want to hamper too much flow.

    I use SeaChems "The Bag". Works perfectly!

    thanks, just check "the bag" its 180 micro so that or 200 should work fine.
    the bags I have now our 800 thats the problem. lol
