bryopsis

    so the two zoa frags i got i thought had feather calurpa but am pretty sure its bryopsis. ive manually removed it once and its grown back. I dont want to lose my frags but i dont want to deal with bryopsis in my tank forever I bought some mag to up my levels but should i remove the corals and mag them in another container?

    i just added an acan and red hornet zoas and do want to shock the crap out of them

    if its just on the corals and hasnt spread to your rock you can do a coral dip in one of the many coral dip products it should kill off the bryopsis.

    You can increase your mag level by 100 ppm per day until you get to 1600 ppm to 2000 ppm. This should not harm your corals. Kent Tech M is the best mag to use. If you got mag chloride it does not work.

    I haven't heard of any dips that kill algae.

    Make sure it is 100% mag sulfate, if not it will not be as effective if it is not. Try and get a hold of Kent Tech M.

    Coral Rx is the dip brand i use, it claims to kill bryopsis and other " filamentous hair algae", i dont think it kills all algae in general. coral dip is one of those thing you cant really prove its value, you can only know what it fails to kill. I've never had any issues using it but maybe the coral I've got never had anything bad on it to begin with
