    I'll defer to others but I might try and break it up a little bit so it's in a loose ball vs. the tight wad it is now.

    Tank is looking good! We also had an issue with microbubbles. My son found a sponge and stuck it in our bubble trap in the sump. That has helped tremendously, but we would also like to try a filter sock. I'm afraid the sponge will end up being a nasty mess that has to be cleaned all the time!
