Ive read that an Ocellaris may take to a BTA even though its not there natural host. Does anyone know if that is a good possibility, or if it unlikely but has happened. Thanks

Thank you karlas I was just wondering for the future problem is most people tell you to get the anemone 1st. But, I want to get the fish soon and then get the anemone after my tank has been established for a while.

I have two Ocellaris Clowns that are as we speak sleeping in my BTA. I would have to agree with the thought of getting the BTA first. Mainly because if the clowns take to it right away the BTA will not have an opportunity to get settled in. A lot of BTAs die because of there host clowns. They just never get time to find an Ideal place and grow a bit.
Mind you I had my clowns first and then the BTA and they seem very happy. So happy in fact I will be setting up a tank just for them.

    Good Luck

Maybe I can quarantine the clowns while the BTA adjusts

Ya that would work if you can catch them.
You know, by the time I got my BTA, my clowns were hosting in my frogspawn. It wasn't until the BTA got comfortable that the clown move to the BTA.
