    well it started deteriorating throughout the day and i decided to toss it so i wouldnt risk loosing anything more from the toxins it would release. so it looks like i need to step up the lighting. thanks for everyones input ( and i thought about those 6500K floodlights before ) i was thinking of going VHO 4x 75w do u think that would be sufficient for a 30 gallon to keep an anem? thats probably a subject for a diff thread im sure

    4x75W sounds like a lot but I'm not familiar with VHOs. I'm running 6x54W on my 72 gallon for comparison.

    I'm not sure how old your tank is but your tank should be a year old before adding one. I added mine too early but I was lucky. Give it time.
