I picked up a Bubble Tip Anemone from someone on Craigslist yesterday. It was in good shape and I had no concerns. I put him in the tank near the top on some rock. He opened up and was happy for the rest of the day. Over night he crawled around until he was comfy. That led him to sort of hiding his fott and just the tips were in the light. I had read that was their preference.

This morning when the light came on he moved, in slow anemone fashion, to the underside of the rock and has been hiding ever since out of the light.

Since this is my first anemone I just want to know if I should be concerned. Water is in great condition btw.

New tank, new lighting, new everything. I would give it several days before I get concerned. Basically, if you go somewhere new you don't feel at home and comfortable the first couple of days do you?

I figured that was the case. I just wanted to make sure I shouldn't be doing anything to help out the situation.

The funny thing is that I got it for my pink skunk clown fish (actually the cousin without the vertical bars). The BTA is supposed to be the most common host to clownfish, but unfortunately not the the pink skunk.

It is still a very pretty specimen.

They are very pretty.... It will settle down when it gets comfortable... Mine planted his foot behind the rock and stretched out over the top...
