Just added the MH about 2-3 weeks ago.

    NO3 0-5 fluctuates a little
    NO2 0

Unfortunately that is all I am able to measure until next week. Just ordered a master kit a couple of days ago.

JonJon if it aint stinking just feed it once a week or so and keep tabs on him. He can build himself back up. With proper lighting. It will take a fair amount of time...Just dont try feeding him every day and if starts spitting the food back out not long after being feed you might just be stressing him out. Take your time and let him and nature do most of the work. If you have a clown that tries hosting him I would suggest removing the clown for a time as that can add to stress. Good Luck with him....

If you want to get your anemone back on the road to recovery, feed it very small portions of silverside daily. I'm talking *small* pieces, like 1/4" pieces, especially if all the bubble tips/tentacles are gone. It will need daily nuitrients to repair the damaged zooxanthellae and body tissue. Giving it too large of a piece will cause it to spit it out, as it won't be able to digest a large piece. Once it starts regaining its size, you can give *slightly* larger pieces. Slowly the color will return, when that happens, you can slow down the feedings to every other day. After it gets the color back, it will most likely move to a nice spot. It does take a while though, it can take a good couple months or more for all this to happen. My anemone recently got bleached from being too close to my MH. It's taken me 2 months of daily small feedings to get it healthy again. They are strange animals. If they don't get enough light, they will expell the zooxanthellae and will bleach. If they get too much light, the zooxanthellae will die off and will bleach too.
If the host clown takes the food away, you will have to keep the clown away. I use a net to cover the anemone while it is bringing the food in. I wait until the mouth is completely closed and tight before I remove the net. A clown will stick its face into the mouth to remove the food.

Figured I would give an update.

It is finally regaining it's color. Spotted it for the first time this evening, when the halides went off.

    What I did:

Moved out from under the rock it was attached to. Wanted it in a place that would receive light. This had the added bonus of pissing the clown off and he now leaves it alone.

Daily feedings. Just made sure that it was receiving flake food with the rest of the tank.

Weekly feedings. A small piece of shrimp or brine. Whichever I was feeding the rest of the tank at the time.

Tried to get a pic, but it is still to small.

for the record- i noticed a few people stated that the zooxanthellae was a bacteria- when in fact its a protozoa (an algae). Just thought I'd clarify it for the record.
