    i know, but i have had this tank for 3 years in a ten gallon. im using 10 gallons of the original water and five new gallons. would it not still be established?

    No, it would not. You need to grow colonies of bacteria on the sand, rocks, etc. 10 gallons of water from your old tank won't do the trick.
    Until you have enough bacteria in the tank, your anemone and the other residents will produce ammonia and it will build up.

    If you were moving all of the established sand and rock into a bigger tank, you might have a chance. Otherwise, you need 6 weeks or more for the tank to cycle.

    I added a Heteractis anemone about 3 months after my tank had completed cycling (almost 5 months after starting the tank), and he did well.

    thats exactley what i did... all the sand and rock from the original tank went into the new 15 gallon tank. im still going to wait about a month or two.

    well i bought a nice sized bubble and and im going to be ordering t5 ho's so that it will be happy for sure.
