So just yesterday I bought a BTA...this morning I'm awoken by my wife saying, "Uh oh, trouble in the tank!" I rush out there to see our lovely new anem that our Clarkii has immediately hosted in, sucked into stupid filter intake. OY! I turned it off and pulled the whole unit out. 70% of the anem was lost..I have one small portion that somehow still has a foot and tentacles and is actually alive and moving it's tentacles as we speak. I'm paying super close attn to it, waiting for signs of leaking , or anything else that may clue me into it's "expiration". Is there anything else I should be doing?

And here it is after what was left fell to tank bottom and attached to rock. You can almost see the frown on Mr. Clarkii.

cool rock. I agree run carbon to help with any toxins. As long as it attached to some rock and doesn't float around, it may survive.

yes...get some carbon in that filter. You can buy carbon from any fish store (it looks like crushed charcoal). Comes in a pouch that you an just toss in your filter, or comes in a container and you have to fill a media bag with it and toss it in your filter. I would recommend getting a small pouch of it. Chemi-pure is a good idea too.
