*SIGH....the tank is 22" tall. I have just a Coralife 50/50 bulb atm. I'm still planning on ordering the T5 rig, if it's appropriate Current USA Nova SunDial T5 Aquarium Lighting Fixture
BTW got a CPR BP last night and it's up and running. BTA is looking relatively OK as of this a.m. Keep you all posted and thx for words of advice.

Also...I picked up a 500ml jar of carbon and a 4x12 "bag". The jar says it will do a 200g tank...mine is 37. How the heck do I figure out how much to put in there??? Adding carbon to take care of paranoia for the possibility of when BTA was damaged and dumped some toxins.

with 22" you will either need a metal halide or keep high light inverts closer to the top. Look in to the t5 ho.

    500ml/200gal=2.5ml/gal *37 gal = 92.5 ml

So the BTA has gone through some strange shapes in last cpl days. I woke this a.m. and Clarkii was cozied up in it. After an hour or so, it has shriveled up again lookin kinda bad...but it is still attached to rock, even though it is pretty much upside dwn. Carbon in place ;(

The anemone won't dump toxins, per se, it's the dead tissue that will decay is what causes havoc in a tank. Carbon will absorb the liquified waste before it gets broken down by the nitrifying process (which is when it messes up a tank). I generally use 1 cup of carbon in my 20G tank. Do you have a media chamber (like a phosphate reactor) to run the water through the carbon? Just placing carbon in the tank isn't too effective, though it is better than nothing of course. Water needs to be pushed through carbon at a rate of about 100-300GPH to draw out the impurities, or something like that.
