BTA killed

    After having my Green BTA for about 2 weeks after upgrading my lights to t-5 he did not move for about 8 days last night I saw him moving around just a bit.

    I woke up this morning he was sucked into the Kor. 3 dead :(

    My water looks real merky and little parts of him everywhere. I put a carbon pad and a bag of carbon in.

    Should I do a water change or just wait it out.

    yep dead nems can make a mess and be quite bad for the rest of the tank, do what you can to clean that up.

    big water change asap when bta's die in a tank bad things can happen

    i have a very bad experience with this my first saltwater set up crumbles because of a dead BTA, found him dead and stuck in my power head

    I did a 15 gallan water change on a 65 gallon tank. Put carbon and changed out filter pads.

    the one statement reminded me of nazareth. woke up this morning, my bta was dead. soemthin disliked him , got caught in the powerhead. woke up this mornin my anemone had died. im gonna miss it, sat down and cried.

    and this wasnt meant as disrespectful. im sorry about your loss. it just dtruck a note. best of luck in the clean up and i hope all goes well.
