what have you been feeding it ? and what goes in has to come out also they will invert and expel old water and up take the new water from the new system also in a few days after being added to new water, How old is the tank ? less then a yr its not a good idea to add one unless you are sure its 100% finished spiking with NO2 and ammonias .. You may want to find another LFS if they had nothing to offe you for advice..

I know that they may throw up if they are over fed. It could have been injured I suppose.

It is really going to come down to the parameters I think. If they are off, it can have bad results for anemones.

If he is target feeding, find out how much, how often, and what is being fed.

If you have proper lighting then there is no need to ever feed them other then what they will snag out of the water.. and if you insist on feeding it then get some ray bait squid cut in to nickel sized chunks and feed it one a month.. But all it really needs is light..that feeds the animal they all have host a symbiotic green algae capable of photosynthesis inside that produces the needed sugar carbons to keep them fed long term.. Hand feeding is a otions . More you feed the more waste they produce and thats not good for the water..
