MY BTA SEEMS TO BE DOING FINE BUT I KNOW IF IT DIES IT COULD REALLY MESS UP A SYSTEM. SO I WANTED TO KNOW, JUST INCASE, WHAT ARE THE SIGNS THAT HE'S DYING

It's mouth will get really big and it will start discharging stuff and looking like it's turning inside out. Once it does this and stays like this, usually it's only a matter of time in my experience. I've successfully kept different kinds of anemones including the hard to keep Ritteri, but lost a couple too unfortunately.

what are the signs that a bta is going to split. i ask because i noticed last nights when i was feeding that the bta looks like it has formed 2 mouths by fusing the middle of its mouth. Also there is a white line between the two, not a tear just a white line on the surface of its skin. I dont suspect that there is a problem w/ the bta since it is eating and is always attached to the rock. it does shrink up from time to time but the guy at my LFS says its because its removing the waste that the clownfish leaves behind

Sounds like it may be splitting. As long as it appears healthy just wait and watch.

well the clown has really taken to the anemone. i tried to feed the anemone this weekend and the clown was not very happy w/ me. He almost jumped out of the tank trying to attack my turkey baster. Does anyone have any suggestions for feeding the anemone

You'll just have to deal with the clown. I just hand feed and allow the anemone to close around the food. Tough luck if the clown gets its dander up, eh?
